The Board of Bahari Eagles Foundation Limited, owners of Eagles Secondary School in Bagamoyo, has appointed George Fumbuka, MBA FCCA, one of its Directors, to be School Manager as CEO of the School on its behalf effective from January 2018 for a 3-year period. He takes over from Francis Tabaro, another Director, who served as School Manager since 2012.

The Headmaster, Greyson Mhilu, stated: “Eagles celebrated its 12th Anniversary in January of this year, proudly having poured hundreds of O-level and A-level graduands into the Nation’s stock of human resources. These include doctors; bankers; engineers; and professional accountants. Two Alumni from our School recently graduated as Brokers of the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange. This is a welcome development toward further successes”.

Reacting to the appointment, George commented: “we are committed to taking Eagles even further on its path to being a useful citizen of this Nation. We shall largely continue doing more but better of what we did in the past, addressing the needs of the student, our key stakeholder. Looking forward, we expect to source more Form 1 and Form 5 students from upcountry, from as far as Bukoba, Lindi and Holili. As a boarding school we feel that mixing students from the whole country in this manner enhances their work ethic and cements national solidarity”.

He continued: “we undertake to support Government’s industrialisation agenda by offering more Science combinations at A-level and to broaden our subject offerings by introducing Agriculture at O-level. International languages (French, Arabic and Chinese) will be offered as optional subjects. Our strict adherence to moral values is non-negotiable and will continue as before”.

A-level classes begin on 2nd April 2018. Send comments and inquiries to:
